IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
This BAC calculator provides estimated blood alcohol concentration (BAC) values using generalized formulas and user-provided information. Results are approximate only and may differ significantly from actual BAC levels.
This tool does NOT provide medical advice, legal advice, or safety guidance, and must not be relied upon to determine whether you are legally permitted or safe to drive, operate machinery, work, or engage in any activity requiring judgment or coordination.
Actual BAC is affected by numerous factors that this calculator cannot accurately measure, including metabolism, food intake, medications, fatigue, hydration, liver function, genetics, body composition, drink strength, serving size, and timing of alcohol consumption.
Legal BAC limits vary by jurisdiction, license type, age, and circumstance. Users are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws.
The only reliable methods of determining BAC are approved breath, blood, or laboratory tests administered using properly calibrated equipment.
By using this tool, you acknowledge that:
- results may be inaccurate,
- you use the calculator entirely at your own risk,
- and DrinkFox shall not be liable for decisions, losses, damages, claims, or injuries arising from use of the calculator or reliance on its results.
If you have consumed alcohol, do not drive.
This calculator uses a simplified version of the Widmark Formula, a generalized mathematical model commonly used to estimate blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Because the formula relies on population averages and user-provided information, results are approximate only and may differ significantly from actual BAC levels. The variables used in the formula can be expressed as; A = liquid ounces of alcohol consumed, W = your weight in pounds, r = a sex constant (.73 for men and .66 for women) and H = hours since your first drink.
Widmark Formula
%BAC = (A x 5.14 / (W x r)) - .015 x H
